Building Champions On and Off the Water
Australia’s leading pathways rowing club. We develop athletes for life - not just medals.
UTS Haberfield Rowing Club, founded in 1925 on Sydney’s Iron Cove, is a powerhouse of Australian rowing. Continuing a record of rowing excellence the Club partnered with the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in 1992.
Since then, we’ve helped develop Olympians (37+ Games appearances), Australian reps, international medal winners, and earned recognition on the world stage. But we’re more than a medal factory - we develop athletes ready for life: achieving their sporting objectives, whilst building strength, skill, character, and resilience.
As one of Australia’s leading high-performance pathways clubs, our athletes pull on the Green & Gold, every year at World Championships and beyond. We focus on results - but also leadership, lifelong friendships, and personal growth. For generations we have strongly encouraged our younger athletes to embrace the daily commitment of “Rowing, Study and Work” – helping prepare them for long-term success on and off the water.
Train at one of Sydney’s premier rowing venues, alongside high-performing athletes, coached by world-class mentors. Whether your goal is competitive rowing, NSW or Australian representation, preparing for US or UK college programs, or racing overseas at Henley Royal Regatta, Holland Beker, Canadian Henley, or Czech Championships, we’re here to help.
